New Beautycounter Powders

Most of the blogosphere is dominated by the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale today (it starts in Canada on July 17th for cardholders and July 20th for everyone else), but I’m excited that today also sees the launch of the new Beautycounter powders: a collection of eyeshadows, blush, highlighters, and bronzers. The colours are so, so good.

I’m a huge blush fan because, without artificial help, I’m a whiter shade of pale. I’m going to road test the Passionfruit blush.

I’ve shied away from eyeshadows since I’ve been “healing” from my laser surgeries (I’m now considered healed: sadly, I still cannot see out of the one eye very well!) Now that I can treat my eyes as usual (if wearing a contact lens over two surgeries while taking two types of medicated drops is usual!), I can embrace the eye shadow again but am very careful what ingredients I use. As a blue-eyed blonde, I gravitate to bronzes and coppers and LOVE this new Classic palette. I imagine I’ll hit pan on most of the shades.

There are beautiful colours for everyone in this new collection and I’ll let you know how I like the formula. Beautycounter is obsessive about getting the formulas right, so I imagine they’ll be gorgeous products, as usual.

I’l also LOVING the overnight resurfacing peel. It’s gentle and effective and it works! My skin looks brighter already. It’s good stuff.

Are you shopping the Nordstrom sale today? Any finds? I’ve previewed the sale and like the Blondo Lila boots and Mackage wrap coat in plaid. I was hoping for a long camel wrap coat, but haven’t seen the perfect one yet, although the Rag and Bone one is quite smart. I’m hoping they might have something in the Canadian sale as incentive for making us wait!

Love to hear from you!
