Monday Finds

Happy Monday!

I hope February is treating you well! Today is a holiday for us. And it’s sunny!

It’s been a busy week. We’ve finalized the kitchen design. Hurrah! So many choices to make there, so I’m glad it’s done. We aren’t renovating until spring since I want to use the barbecue. Other than that, there has been a lot of work that I’ve had to sneak in around the snow days. Thankfully, there have been lots of nice things to focus on to break up the work stress.

Watching. We saw Isn’t It Romantic on the weekend, which is the anti-Rom-Com Rom Com. Make no mistake, it’s a romantic comedy, but Rebel Wilson makes it fresh. Love her.

Staying. We had a little staycation at Hotel X in Toronto. We swam in the rooftop outdoor pool (don’t worry, you enter the pool inside so you stay warm!) and ate in the 28th floor lounge with a gorgeous view of the city. And for breakfast, there was room service, of course. I love room service. The kids had a blast.

Reading. I’m reading Sophie Kinsella’s newest, I Owe You One, and love it. Classic chick lit.

Wearing. It’s been icy and freezing outside so it’s basically velour joggers and sweaters. But, I’m looking forward to spring and wearing pale pink pants from J. Crew like these ones.

Contemplating. Love this piece on how artists keep the creative spirit alive.

Missing. Lee Radziwell. Wasn’t her style amazing? Feels like the end of an era. She reminds me of my much-missed aunts.

What’s making your February special?

  1. I finished reading I Owe You One over the weekend and I absolutely loved it! It reminded me a lot of Bridget Jones’s Diary. It was my first Sophie Kinsella book, and since I liked it so much, I plan on reading some of her other books now too.

Love to hear from you!
