Saved by Salt Water is our coastal cottage that is available for rent, in a picturesque fishing and artist’s village, a ten minute drive outside Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We are an 80 minute drive from the Halifax airport.
This ocean-side cottage makes a perfect couple’s getaway, small family vacation place, or writing retreat.

Blue Rocks is a charming, walkable village known for its artist galleries, kayaking tours, and cute general store. It is also a working fishing village. The fishing shack, located directly across from the cottage, is the most photographed building in Lunenburg county and is a painter’s delight.

The UNESCO World Heritage town of Lunenburg is known for its restaurants, historical buildings, and the schooner, the Bluenose II.
Lunenburg is a creative community filled with artists and musicians. A highlight each summer is the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival. 2017 is a special year as the Tall Ships will be sailing.
Nova Scotia’s South Shore is a beautiful vacation destination. Enjoy the towns of Peggy’s Cove, Mahone Bay, and Chester, as well as beautiful beaches.
